Initial appointments
To find out about first appointments, please see our Process page. Information on impressions appointment: Impressions of your mouth are required for the construction of study models, orthodontic appliances and retainers. Impressions require additional laboratory work by our technician after you leave the surgery; therefore, these appointments are scheduled before midday.
Appointments during treatment
During treatment, we see you every 4-10 weeks for 10-15 minutes for an adjustment appointment, and we try to schedule earlier and later in the day so it doesn't conflict with school and work as much as possible. If you need longer, we will schedule for this. If you think you have an emergency - check our Emergencies page first, and contact us if you need to. If you arrive late or miss your appointment we will most likely have to reschedule to the next available time generally between 10am and 2pm.
Post treatment appointments
After you have you new smile you go into a monitoring phase - with a checkup at 3 months, then at 12 months and finally at 24 months to make sure everything is staying on track. If at any point you have any concerns we are only a call away. Retainers are often fitted after treatment with braces and you can find more information here about retainers.
